
Jessica is a commercial litigator with experience in high value international arbitrations, cross-border professional negligence claims and financial and banking disputes.
During her training, Jessica undertook two client secondments: one to the global car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz, and the other to a leading private health care provider, HCA International. She is a fluent French speaker and, prior to starting her training, spent 10 months working in the corporate team of the Paris-based law firm August & Debouzy.
Jessica trained at international law firm Nabarro and moved to Signature Litigation following qualification in September 2015.
Jessica is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association and takes an active interest in providing pro bono legal advice.
EXPERIENCE
Commercial Litigation
- Acting for a large private investment fund in a professional negligence claim against a French law firm worth in excess of £37 million. The matter focused on complex issues of French insolvency and restructuring law.
Arbitration
- Acting for a Caribbean commercial fish farm in a multi-million dollar claim for damages against the local government. The dispute centred on a breach of the terms of a development agreement.
Financial and Banking Disputes
- Representing the leader of a foreign political party in a claim against a national retail bank in respect of the attempted closure of his bank account. The claim drew upon the implications of national and EU financial and banking regulations, as well as considered issues of discrimination law.
