Adam centres his practice on commercial cross-border disputes, and his client base includes states, wealth management and investment funds, banks and well-known corporates.
Adam has experience in a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters, and has particular expertise in financial services disputes, insolvency and antitrust. He is experienced in litigating in the English courts, and in other common law jurisdictions, including Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jersey, DIFC and certain states in the US. He has also been involved in litigation in civil law systems, notably France and Russia.
Adam has represented parties in international arbitrations, both institutional and ad hoc, with seats in London, Paris, Geneva, Hong Kong, Singapore and Hanoi.
Adam is listed in Chambers Global for Dispute Resolution, “on the back of strong client endorsements“, and commentary has referred both to his “clear technical strength” and a “clear understanding and appreciation of clients’ needs“.
Adam regularly works in French and publishes widely on international law matters including cross-border insolvency and client-sensitive issues such as disclosure.

Acting for an Austrian bank in a dispute against various companies in Russia arising out of default under a loan and the unlawful dissipation of assets by the borrower and its management, including follow-on enforcement action in BVI and Cyprus
Acting for a Swiss fund in successfully claiming under bonds which had been the subject of an earlier compromise under Indonesian insolvency proceedings
Acting for a global construction and energy company in defending simultaneous enforcement proceedings in multi-jurisdictions across the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the Middle East
